Ok so heres a question im sure everyones heard a million times before....which programmer is the best ? I have a 03 Expedition with 5.4 2v current mods are Airaid intake , throttlebody spacer , BBK 70mm throttle body and am also gettting exhaust either the flowmaster catback or magnaflow oh and am also looking at the BBK headers. So I'm trying to find out which works the best.....many people have told me the superchips cortex is good. I' also looking to increase fuel mileage as im currently gettting about 10-11mpg any help would be great
If you're buying to increase MPG your best chance is with custom tunes (to take advantage of your mods). Even then, it's a 50-50 bet. If you do get lucky, you shouldn't expect more than 1-2 MPG gain.
Check out 5Star Tuning, Power Hungry Performance, and VMP Tuning.
I'm sure that by now you know the TBS is worthless, but if you're searching for MPG, you might want to clean the TB (good time to remove the TBS) and MAF. I will assume you've already replaced the air filter, fuel filter, COPS, plugs, etc.
yeah it has airaid intake system on it.....been nervous to do the plugs since i hear they like to spit plugs out lol.....you can just clean the maf or replace it ? oh and i have brand new bbk 70mm throttlebody on it now.....so shouldnt be dirty

IMHO, if you live near a major city, then I would recommend going to a good dyno shop and have the truck tunes there. Tuners are "ok", but they are very limited on what they can do because of the oem parameters. Fore the same cost, a dyno shop can get the tune much closer for your exact needs and finding a good shop today is much easier than 10 years ago.
