i just looking for opinions on programmers, whether or not they actually work or if so which one, or brand to buy. i have a 96 XLT 212,000+ miles. im currently replacing the heads with rebuilt ones, also installing new lifters and a slightly bigger cam. i saw one programmer that i sorta liked (SCT Livewire TS Plus Performance Programmer and Monitors) but like i said i would like to read more opinions reviews and personal experience before i spend $600.
We would first need to know weather you are OBD II or OBDI.
On OBDIs they aren't worth buying one as they don't work. I have seen some diffrences on OBDII vehicles but not sure on the 96 trucks as all the ones I had were super duties.
Personally I have always liked SCT for tuners if you are OBDII.
