Evening everyone. Thanks for the congrats everyone!!! We had a blast at the show. We're two for two and only plan on attending a couple more this year. Have a great night everyone.
Morning! Happy Tuesday! Nothing special going on today. Just work! Been enjoying this weather lately.
I sold my tires and old set of wheels yesterday . I thought in this economy, they'd stick around a little and since I didn't need to have to sell them, I kept the price high and they still went. I only listed them on Craigslist and Uncle Henry's a week or so ago. A Dodge came and grabbed my wheels and a kid with an off road jeep grabbed my tires, even my bad ones to play with. He said he's going to use inner-tubes in the bad ones.
Morning Ken, gladyou could get what you wanted for them! I'm still trying to sell the wifes mini van, been two weeks and only lookers so far.
I read a report a few weeks ago that said used car prices are less today than they were over 10 years ago!!!! Pretty scary, huh? Ever since the new car company bailout, bankruptcy, slow down, debacles, cars aren't selling for what they used to. Good luck with it. I've found a ton more success selling things on Craigslist than in Uncle Henry's. Cars in Maine are hard to sell anyways because of the salt!
Speaking of salt, I've found some stuff that works real well against salt and other stuff they put in the roads that I undercoat all of our vehicles with each fall, including my old plow truck. It's Amsoil MPHD Heavy Duty Metal Protector, originally designed for motorcycle chains, but people have been using it for underbody coatings on vehicles. It goes on like a liquid (so that it can infiltrate the little cracks, hinges, nuts and bolts), then dries a wax like substance. I even use this stuff on my bicylces !

Hey Ken I will try and pick some of that up this fall. Do you get it at a motorcycle shop?
I think a can is about $7 and it goes a long way. If you really go over board with your entire under-body and all the linkage (which is what I do), you'll still probably be ok with one can per vehicle.
I also buy synthetic oil and filters through this company and that's the only stuff I'll ever use in my truck. I'm sold on it and have been using the stuff for over 11 years. I continue to read research on it and they continue to amaze me.
Here's a brochure, you can tell I love this stuff - people are shocked when they look at my plow truck frame:
