Stopping vandalism?
So last night someone thought it would be funny to throw a egg at the hood of my truck. I washed it good and everything came off and my truck is all sparkly now..it was dirty and needed a bath anyways. I was wondering if anyone here had ways of keeping things like this from happening. I cant park the truck in the garage since its so big. So what do yall do?
thanks

I as well have a viper 2-way.
Just installed one on my wifes truck too.
The motion sensor can be turned up so that the wind will set your alarm off, or down to the point it almost wont go off. All you need is a jewelers screwdriver and a few minutes.
I say invest in a 2 way alarm and keep your guns loaded...

No not going to stop anyone from egging...
BUT as for the alarm is it very nice and the sensitivity has a good balance and range like Will said about the viper. Also if i am far away from my truck and one of the sensors had been set off when i un lock my truck the remote informs me that it had been tampered with... It is Also really nice to be at away from the truck and look at my key FOB if I cant remember if I locked my truck or not.

a good way to catch someone without them knowing is a deer camera. if you put it at the end of your driveway (try to camoflage so they cant see it) and catch them that way. stupid criminal usually try the same prank twice if they know they can get away with it. plus if you get a tag # or good pic of caror person you can go find them first.

Sleep in your truck, you'll hear it, if your not a hard sleeper, lol.. All kidding aside, for some piece of mind there is some wallet friendly systems out there, check a few car alarm shops around your area, getting them to install your system will sometimes yield you a lifetime warranty as long as you own your vehicle, like me. Remote start is another nice option I have, check it out, both systems depending on extras is about 400.00-450.00 installed out the door.

Its not so that it will keep people from doing things you cant stop anyone from doing anything. You can make it harder to get away with though. I really want security cameras on my house cause this isnt the first vandalism incident and my garage was recently broken into and things were stolen. If i had an alarm at least if someone hits it with an egg i would be notified immediately and it would attract alot of attention. Right now im thinking about whether i should invest in gauges or an alarm..im still leaning towards gauges but the alarm sounds nice too right this second.
