I will go by the Ford dealership tomorrow and see what I can find, i can't seem to find a proportioning valve online anywhere either. If this is going to need to be replaced as well does anyone have a source or would the dealership be a good place to look.

From other posts on the site, those valves are only available at the wrecking yards or someone parting out a truck. You can buy them in the aftermarket.Maybe someone else will post about the places they have located them.

Thanks for the link I may need to go that route, I replaced the switch but it still seems to be leaking a little. I was at pull a part the other day and saw a couple there, I may go get one and try it first before ordering.

Trey,is it leaking around the threads,or through the switch again? If the threads, you could wrap it with liquid Teflon pipe sealant,or teflon tape.Again,be easy with the wrench!lol.

Old Trucks

that's the story of our lives with these old beasts. the dealership is usually the worst place to buy parts even if they do have them. they up charge stuff so much. i went to the dealership a couple weeks ago for a new star head carriage bolt and a speed nut that clips over the frame, 26 bucks. check out the left hand side of the website on the main page to look at sponsors of FTE, many of them give discounts to members.

Sorry about getting stung at the parts house man!Go online and order a LMC and a NPD catalog. Also look at a site called Dennis Carpenter and another one called Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. These vendors all offer options for our trucks.A few of them are site sponsors from time to time as well. There is a lot of debate about the quality of certain parts and their manufacture, but people are not afraid to chime in when asked for advice about them. You already know about rockauto,I personaly use them a great deal, and they are good to their word about what they provide.Hope this helps.
