Any more gas than that will not ignite in the cylinders properly and cause knocking and possibly stall the motor. As for the tranny Im not an auto guy.
A solenoid does operate the overdrive clutch. The overdrive one way clutch is operated by relative motion of the two parts.
Maybe. But I already said nothing electrical could do this, and you asked if a solenoid could do this. Solenoids are electrical.
hey mark i have just about same problem. i get a slippage code
i drive truck for hour or more on interstate 85 in n.carolina at 70 mph
when i let off the gas my od light starts flashing. i get off at exit
come to a stop and then nothing, no drive or reverse. i put it in park
then drive and it will move but in 2nd gear. it happened once at 20 degrees
outside and at 90 degrees and always at high speeds. when i first got
the truck i had a problem when i first started the engine in the am.
i put truck in reverse and back out of drive way then put into drive
press gas pedal tranny slipped and then engaged. it did this until
i changed tranny fluid and filter. fluid was very dark, but no metal
in pan or on magnet. thank you for any input you can give me
