I don't know how the modulars handle lower temp thermostats but with the old 302, 351, 390 and etc a cooler thermostat wasn't always better. They seemed to be happiest between 195-200 degrees. My V10 with the stock stat runs 188-190 when empty always, towing it may hit 194. There is a temp where the engine will run its best.

does anyone know the size of the fan nut? i m in the military on leave and need to get mine off pronto so i can drive my truck while im here at home

I used the dual electric fans from a V8 Continental and they work great on my Navigator. I don't care for Flex-a-lite fans as I had several bad experiences years ago.

I have my flex-a-lite fans on. they are pretty nice its good to not have the clutch fan screaming when i start it up cold. i will make a youtube video and post a link. i cant get pictures to upload. i havent calulated mileage because i have a miss i havent located yet.
