Yea looks pretty easy to get to. I will use a drill press to get the hole cut.

I got my bit and tap from orileys. I used a cordless drill and pulled the elbow off. Mark the elbow before you take it off with a marker. And yes I used a type r bit.. I prefer teflon tape on the joints for the egt probe and boost since it fills the voild better than pipe dope and will prevent seizing.

Remove the butterfly screws and slide the butterfly out. Don't remove the electrical connections. Mine has been gone for 135K miles.

Actually you can unplug it. You can also get a 05+ elbow and or a after market elbow again for 05+ and ditch the throttle plate all together..

Got it drilled and tapped. Much easier that I thought it would be. I have the power run to where I want the gauge. So all I need to do is run the tube and hook it up. Gauge will be here today.

Thanks again for all of your help.

that is a lot of boost! Mine is seeing 32 max under heavy acceleration towing 8K. I am worried even though I just cleaned the turbo up. Under not load, I see max of 26 and truck runs great. Not so sure what my issue is??
