That was my same exact finding and resolution to keep the window working as it should.
ive tried the silicone on the seal method....didnt work too long...i noticed the motor..to make a tight seal...travels over center to really pull the glass tight.....i told my wife lets try to not let the motor completely close the glass....make a good seal but not gove over center on rotation...see if that will make a difference
