TTB axle

I know this isn't anything to do with diesel but you guys know a lot so I'll just ask you.

I might have a chance to get some 37" hmmwv tires on beadlocks what I want to know is would the 37's just tear my TTB apart til I can swap the dana 60 under it?

I'm guessing it's a 44 cause the rear end is a stering 10.25....and it will just be a all around work truck....only really want the beadlocks so I can change tires my self.

if you aren't plowing or rock hopping in it the ttb should live while you save up for a dana 60 swap

if you don't need the beedlocks though the handtools for changing tires are probably cheaper than getting the hummer rims recentered to fit on our axles properly (them things have a crazy offset changin them by hand is a bit of a pain but I've done it on g'pa's farm truck

I don't need the beadlocks...they just look cool lol but yeah I just looked at the offset on the rims I have now and the off set on the hmmwv rims....looks like I'd need a freaking 3 inch spacer!...screw that.....only reason I'm looking at the hmmwv tires is cause they're cheaper than the bfg's I've seen....damn 16.5 rims!

best bet is to go back to a 16" rim or 17" more rim choices available same with tires, that way you can get a rim and tire package thatll not only look good on the truck but will do what you need them to do with modin stuff up with spaces and such

Slide under the truck and look up at the bottom of the pumpkin on the front end. If its a Dana44, it should have a "44" cast into the bottom of the differential case. If its a Dana50, it will show a "50".

Well I'm not getting the hmmwv tires....can't get a pair was going to get them from am general but no dice.....could get some off ebay but I don't want to have shipping and all that crap......guess I'll be sticking with the bfg's, I'd get 17" rims but I like my 16.5's, and the dana 60 swap is just for tire wear.
