What type is it?

I have the specifications book for your truck and none of the numbers that you give are in there. There should be something like PJD-BA or something similar to that on the ID tag.

Is that tag on the original trans from your '89 4-sp F-150? It's an '85 part number.

The tranny should have a round tag on the side that says either "New Process Gear" or "Borg Warner" on it. The model number is usually stamped on that tag.

That tag is located on the rear of the transmission, Held on by the bolts that hold the rear bearing cover in place.. I will look for the round tag on the side of the transmission.
