BSF44C Spark Plug Question

BSF44C Spark Plug Question
Autozone lists a motorcraft spark plug #BSF44C for my truck. I would like to go to a colder plug. The tips on the ones in there now seem to be too hot, (Maybe because of the MSD Ignition?) And I would like to try a colder plug.
My question is would a colder plug have a higher or lower number? (In place of the 44) OR would one of the LETTERS be different??
The fellows at the parts house did not have a clue and neither do I!!!
