I do not see it glorifying the drug dealer. He is definitely a villain.
I see it as showing how it twists your mind and corrupts your soul. The best intentions to justify doing the deals is not worth the torment and corruptness he has had to do. He is a ruthless murderer in only 3 seasons. The alienation from family and friends is almost unbearable.
It's the only TV show I watch regularly. I like to call it "Bad Dad." The first two seasons it seemed most of the drama resulted because everything always went wrong for Walt and Jesse. This season, Walt seems much more at ease in his life of crime and acts more boldly.
Yeah, I agree with Kyle. Walt has lost everything that he valued as the result of doing anything to try and keep it.
Just can't bring myself to watching "Breaking Bad".
I don't care that he's got terminal cancer and is trying to get finances together for his family.
I watch/condone NOTHING that has to do with making/selling/glorifying/using illegal substances.
Ain't gonna do it. Ain't gonna do it. Ain't gonna do it.
Nothing wrong with that at all, especially if you have children and don't want them to see something that is in a way glorifying it with all the money he is making. I do enjoy the storyline of it though and just the intense situations it brings.
I've seen a few episodes and was impressed with what I saw vis-a-vis the storyline and the acting. It's a definite twist, that's for sure (chemistry professor turns meth dealer to provide for family after he dies from lung cancer).......
