No start the 1st time.
'02 linclon Cont. W/ 4.6L DOHC. Has done this for years and I would like to get to the bottom of it. When I try to start it, it wont start the first time. Try it again immidiatly and it usually starts and runs good. Sometimes you have to try it a third and on rare occasions crank it several times. Has fuel pressure,40 psig and good compression. This morning I went to try and isolate it and hooked up a spark tester to a sparkplug and voltmeter to an injector and tried it. Wouldn't you know it, it started 20 out of 20 times.
Another curious event was last month the battery went away. Put a new one in and for about two weeks it started first time every time.????????
I am at my wits end. Hope someone can help.
