This is the second time that it has done this in the past 5 days. I will turn over but it wont run. The first time it happen I hit the switch to the fuel shut off but it wasnt in the off position, (tried it anyway though). And it ended up starting. I tried the same thing again but it didnt start. It has about 65,000 on it and the warrenty just went out. My guess is the fuel pump. But just wanted to check with you all to see if anyone has had a similar problem. Thanks!!
Also, remember to check all of your fuses. If it's the fuel pump it could be the pump, the inertia switch, the relay, a broken wire, loose connection, or a fuse. Most common things I've heard people talk about are the relay and the pump itself, but it could be the other items as well.
i know i replaced my serpentine belt on my 4.0 and had to disconnect the MAC censor and just a slight bump sent it crazy..so it wouldnt start or idle without beion on the gas, was working on and off. So try hitting the gas and maybe it just wont idle..idk did you do any work on it recently?
I went and spent 10 bucks and replaced the fuel pump relay, I havent had a problem yet so ill give it a few days and see how it goes. Ill keep you posted.
Update,
Well it wasnt the relay. Got stranded at a local store parking lot... It was the fuel pump. I figured this is what it was, since I didnt hear the fuel pump kick on after turning the key on. Was a pretty easy fix, other than the expensive fuel pump. Two benjemin's OUCH. Thanks for the help!
