52 F1 clutch problems?

Hello everyone, I have a 52 F1 with 239 flatty and 4speed trans. I was wondering if anyone knows where the release fingers are supposed to be, "straight" or have a bend in them. I noticed that only one of the three fingers on mine was barely touching and the other two were not, so I pulled the tranny and measured throwout/release bearing and measures about 3 1/4" for surface contact. Is the throwout bearing just the wrong size or did for sum reason the fingers get bent all the same? It looks to uniform to me to have all three fingers bend the same angle and amount? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The arms should be straight. See pic below. Do you have a pic of yours?

Pics are easy to post, but they first must be hosted on a third party photo hosting site, like flickr or imageshack, among others. (I despise photobucket) From there, it's a quick copy and paste of the link, with a after the link.

Here are 2 pictures I took, one with the pressure plate apart and one with it together, was going to try and straighten them.

Was also wondering if anyone knows of good place to get clutch, napa has for 250 or so, just wondering what my other options are. From the looks of it the clutch is fine other than the bent fingers.

NAPA sells both a Long-style (fingers) and a diaphragm pressure plate for the 10" clutch, but I think they only have a Long for the 11" which is what I suspect you have. The diaphragm is smoother, may need to check clearances to bellhousing, but I've had one for a couple years. If you have a 10", I'd consider the diaphragm.

If there is a truck clutch shop in your neck of the woods, they can rebuild it. With your fingers being toast, I'd make sure they can get new ones first.

I might be able to get sum used fingers, does anyone know if the fingers on the 3sp tranny are the same size as the ones on the 4sp?

Are you talking about the clutch fork that the pedal linkage connects to, or the fingers in the clutch pressure plate?
