Updates on my 2011 issues...

So i get to go in on tuesday for the steering wheel peeling issue. getting the new wheel put on and that will solve that problem..

Im waiting for ford to authorize changing the bumper cover on the rear. it looks like when they fitted it to bolt it up it hit the truck real good and made a nice slice in the bumper cover (its under the bottom of the tailgate so i didnt notice it untill now.

Also, ive gotten the CEL about 12 times since my original post here. They were finaly able to pull a code off it yesterday so something to look into on it. Its been getting worse milage ever since the light started goin on and off. Im actualy averaging around 10mpg right now vs the 14 a few weeks ago.

If you dont mind telling me, what are the problems you've been having?

It the first time i've heard of someone with continuous 6.7 problems, only seen one or two small problems so far.

Truck will be running fine, turn it off and than back on a little while later and ill get a CEL. Sometimes with the CEL i wont get any boost. If i turn the truck off than back on again i still have a CEL but boost will come back. The codes the guy got out of the truck yesterday he said he has never seen before and thinks it wont be a quick in and out thing because there is so many things it could be causing it. He didnt say what the codes refered too tho.

Thats the bad thing, ford techs dont have any or very little knowledge on the new motors, i went a looked at the new 6.7's and loved them, wish i could get one.

Sounds like your problems are isolated, but it still sucks, at least you have warranty.

Atleast i have a full service diesel dealership too. The 2 regular dealerships here have 1 diesel mechanic. Booked up 5-6weeks.

The full service one is actualy backed up almost 2 weeks and they got like 8 mechanics.

They also sell big volvo semis and such tho so i dont know how many just work on those.

What is the CEL? My new 2011 is coming in 2 weeks. I am reading all I can to be familiar with it when it comes.

Why can you only get a 50 gallon tank in an aftermarket. Why has Ford not put at least a 36 gallon on the short bed. If the aftermarket guys can do it why is it not done at the Factory.

They don't want to scare off new buyers....people see a 50 gallon tank they're going to be thinking gas HOG

Really...With all of the research that is done on us who buy these trucks do they not know that a 26 gallon tank is not sufficient? That is crazy. What diesel owner who trailers would not want a bigger tank? I don't know any.
