I've been looking at purchasing some gauges for my 06 250 psd. I am looking at getting a trans temp, EGT, Boost, Volt, Fuel Press, EOT and ECT gauges. I will be getting an autometer 4 guage pillar and am in need of a way to mount the other 3 gauges. I Like the idea of the overhead console that supports 3 gauges.
I have seen this product on a couple of websites stating that it will work for my year vehicle. The thing that concerns me is that Autometer's website states that this only works for 99-04 years. Has anyone been able to install an overhead gauge console like this in an 05-07?
Looking at the location in which this is supposed to get installed, it seems as there is no room because the overhead piece that has the map lights and sunroof button seems to be in the way.
Also, if this wont work, does anyone know of any other ways that I could mount the remaining 3 gauges?
Would I be better off not getting actual gauges and just going with a computer monitoring device such as an Edge?

It's personal preference of course, but when you are looking at so many individual gauges I think the electronic monitor makes much more sense. Stick with your 3 or 4 gauge pillar pod, and populate it with gauges that are not available over OBD. Fuel pressure is the primary one that should be on a pod gauge. EGT is another one that works well as a real gauge, even though it is available with some e-monitors. The other gauge spots can be used for whatever you prefer in a sweep instead of LCD readout.
It's pretty hard to beat the electronic monitors for ECT and EOT, which have become the most critical gauges to watch on a 6.0 PSD.
