Ok, I have some pretty major issues that need to be attended to, but I feel like this one is the most pressing.
When I put my truck in drive from the "N" direction, it makes a VERY loud thunk. I can feel it in the floor board. It also does this when I am in 3 gear, lift off the accelerator and then step back on it. I can ease into it very slowly and it won't do it, but i'm talking way slow. Other than that it shifts through every gear just fine. You wouldn't even know something wasn't right.
I know zilch about transmissions and CANNOT afford to replace very much. I'm flat broke right now and anything that's broke I gotta fix. Does anyone have an idea?
Sounds like rear differential clunk to me.I had the same clunk, hit hard when I let off of it,hit hard when i gassed on it again,it's normal wear and tear but I broke a spider gear and had to replace the whole pumpkin,it don't have the clunk anymore but it's also just overall tighter.Just my.02 worth of course....
