lost guages and accelerator

I have a 2000 7.3 with 170K on the ticker, today I went to drive the truck and all the guages were reading 0 or off, like when the truck is off and the accelerator intermitently works, truck idles fine but will not rev up when accel is pressed, I do have a remote starter on the truck and working on the theory that the computer maybe got confused by the remote starter I disconnected both batteries for 5 minutes to hopefully reset the computer. When I turn the key to the point where it should say wait to start only the battery and I think airbag lights come on on dash, at bottom left, none of the other lights come on, truck starts but no rpm readout. I did have the oil pan replaced 2 weeks ago so not sure what they had to do for that, know they had to lift motor up or out, dont know if cab was off, any help with this woul be greatly appreciated..

Perhaps there is a bad fuse, circuit breaker or fuseable link for dash and pedal?

Check fuse #19 under the dash.

Def check the fuses. I had the same problem, but I think mine was 37. There's a short that develops in the wires that lead from your overdrive switch through the steering column. Mine died everytime I hit that button (and I went through about 6 fuses before I got it narrowed down.) It might be a good place for you to start.

fuse 19 blown

Thanks guys, hopefully I dont have a short, should know within a few weeks of replacing, if it blows again its going back to stealership, they replaced the oil pan, I was told its a big job and maybe they pinched a wiring harness, hopefully not and this is the end of it, also could be the harness for overdrive as suggested by firestroker.. You guys are awesome, this site is awesome. Will join as a supported this week, how much is it ?/
