lol it worked when I moved the axle up... course then it just needed to lift and if it failed the axles where still lined up...

Yeah probably not the best, but you use what you have, and everything else I have is made for a car and wouldn't reach even if fully extended before I raised anything... course I guess thats what spacers are for. I never went under it when it was jacked up and even if I did given the height of the front and the angle I'd have still been ok... getting the truck up on the other hand, lol.

lol, no worries, I don't think I'll ever need to jack it up ever again. I really can just sit under the thing and work on it like it was jacked all the way up when its still on the ground!

I've been following this thread - thanks for posting - I've got a couple of 2 tons that need wheels/tires swapped and I know they're on there pretty good. Hadn't decided what direction to go until now.

Go to the truck tire shop. They break something, they pay for it.

Boy that is scary. I had a flat on the interstate a while back and the wind from the 18 wheelers going by will make a car rock whens it on a jack.
