The raditor core in my 1988 F-150, I6, P/U Truck is rusted bad. How hard is it to replace the core support? Is this a junk yard part or should I order from a parts store suck as LMC or similar?
I just replaced my radiator suppor and both of my fenders recently, because mine was also rusted really bad.
Its not that difficult to replace as long as you have the space and time to do it, its mainly just time consuming.
I got lucky enough to find a perfect rust free radiator support, and fenders at a junkyard, so I would look there first. Your going to need one out of a 1987-91 Ford F150-350, and diesel ones will not work.
Heres my build, the part where I replace the radiator support is on page 4, I didnt do a very good write up on it, but you can ask me anything if you need help. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...0-build-4.html
