radiator core support

ok i have a 95 f150 with a 5.8 and the radiator core supprt is pretty much gone along the bottom and my question is are the core supports universal from the f150-f350s of this era? an inventory search of my local wrecking yards website yeilded 12 results ranging from broncos to f250s with any engine from a 4.9 up to 460s ( no diesels though). i would think that the 460 would have a much bigger radiator and thus need a different support but i guess im wrong?

since i just posted question on how to remove bumper prior to making the same rad support replacement, i have done some research. for my 87 F250, looks like 87-91 all have same design. what i did was check LMC Truck parts web site, see what years use the same part for rad support.

i didnt have as much luck at junkyard. everything i found that would have fit my truck , was just as rusted as what i need to replace. will need to buy one new, either LMC or maybe Rock Auto

my junk yard has several off f150s that are supposedly "rust free" the idea just sparked a question in my mind.

they want 100 for the used ones plus they remove it for you, and lmc wants 189.95 plus shipping new so ill at least look at them

i recently rebuilt the entire front end of my truck after a wreck. i got most of the parts from a junk yard. even the best looking cores all have some rust by the battery.

if i could do it all over again, i would have bought all of the parts new from lmc, and i really would have not spent that much more. even the best looking parts had little dents and imperfections and the little extra money i would have spent would have more than made up for having parts that looked good.

From what I've seen (and no way is this factual, just one's speculation) the only difference is whether you've got a gas or diesel truck.

Haven't found a nice core, either. All rusty. I don't know the quality of the aftermarket cores...my fear is thin asian crap.
