Trans question
I pretty much post in the 6.0 diesel forums with great success from our members there, so I thought I would give this forum a kick as we also have a 92 and 94 f150 trucks. The 92 is my sons truck and this is the one we seem to have a problem with. The truck is a 302 auto and 140000 kms, his issue is with a vibration under load and more noticeable going up hills. Tranny fluid is still bright red and does not smell or show signs of burning. He had it flushed and all at 120000 kms. He has been told that it could be the torque converter failing or something with the computer/electronics ?Has any one had this or a similar issue with there trucks,any other ideas.

Yes it is the E4OD, I seem to recall back in 94 there was an issue with the E40D that may have gone back prior to 94 but do not recall for sure. I have not been with him when this vibration takes place so I am putting fourth what he is telling me. He has been told the torque converter is failing by an associate who had this problem, also been told to try and see if he can get a code reader to check his computer. We have done the tires,
u-joints,steady bearing,full front end etc, for insurance not this issue,so leaning more towards the tranny. Some one has also said a possible fuel delivery issue under load ?. Thanks Jeff
