hey.your getting her.taking ya a little while i see.
that's ok.think of all the green your saving!!!$$$$
keep going.the lock ring is pretty simple.
since you bent the float arm, your going to want to hook the wire back up and see where the gauge reads.make sure its close.
so if the tanks empty.you want the gauge to read below the red.OR just pay very close attention to where it reads.this way when you know its getting close to there again, you had better fill up or you'll be walking. if its not lose to E on the gauge, and the tanks empty, your going to want,to adjust it some more before you begin putting the straps on.or you'll kick yourself latter.
keep up the good work!!!! your saving loads of $$$$!
sounds like your getting close to the final hour now.

they are of difference size so you can't mix 'em up.no worries there.
likely yeah.you'll want to fill the fuel filter when your done and remember only crank the starter for 20 seconds at a time max.then stop.wait 2 minutes to let her cool down, then you can crank it again.if you dont let her cool between tries, your going to damage or simply kill it right on the spot.so be careful, they're pricey high torque suckers.
if no luck on the third try,i would stop and open a couple injector lines and try it again.just make sure to shut her down if it fires cus she'll spray fuel all over.tighten 'em back up and then start it.

If you still have the second tank working, start the truck on it, rev it up some, and then switch tanks for a second or two, then switch back....do that 2 or three times, and it should get most of the air through from having your tank off. The engine may sputter a bit as the air from the lines goes through, but should keep going. If it does quit, and won't easily restart, then just start purging air as you would have anyway.

That metal cap houses the water in fuel sensor and has the valve to drain water from the filter. If you unplug the sensor and disconnect the drain hose, then you can remove the filter with that bottom lid still attached. It wont make as big a mess either.

okay guys got the truck all abck together few hours back, cranked it and she fired only was able to put in 1 gallon in the new tank lol, truck drove fine then all the sudden sputtered and cut, so its the piece of rubber I pulled off the bottem of the sender, but I replaced it with a hose cut like a v at the end it just wasnt catching that single gallon, so finally after bleeding through the shrader valve the truck runs fine now and has a nice 18 gallons in that shiny new tank, now I'm heading out to the international dealer to pick up a brand new CDR valve and hopefully some CAT red elc coolant after reading about oreo's cavitation problem,
