color choice help, please
Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while but i remember everyone being cool and knowledgeable, so i have a question.
I came into a possession of a 1972 nova and it just needs a paint job and interior, so i am going to do this really quick before i sell it.
what color do you guys think would net the best resale value on this car?
should i go with resale red? this car looks really good in blue.... hugger orange?
i know its a nova, but that shouldn't matter, this question is about paint
thanks a lot
matt

Looks best in blue IMHO, but I'm bias. Orange with black stripes also looks good on this car.

Lame?
wow, this forum has changed. I was just wondering if anyone here had any first hand experience on how car color had an influence on sale price.
see you all later then,

There is a badazz Silver Nova running around here lately and let me tell ya, it's sharp. Semi-flat hood with scoop. Looks sharp.

i would not paint the car. many buyers are leary of fresh paint jobs, makes me think the seller is trying to hide something.

Thats a good point. You may want to take a lot of pictures so the buyer knows whats underneath.
Another idea is to put it in primer and paint it whatever color the new owner wants when he buys it. That option could be ideal to a lot of people.

Spraying any vehicle the original color is your best bet. The jams and etc and under hood and trucklid will all match and be the way to go.
