Well the only things I've compared side by side from mexico and china was my UVCH.
My truck ran like **** with the china ones, so I bought some that were of a different brand, apparently made in mexico.
Upon close inspection you could see the steps that the chinese manufacturer skipped.
Just by looking you could see that plastic was even cheaper.
I liked to here that every body (except William: but , oh, well ) voted for Mexico. In reallity I also buy most things made in USA but, if I only have a choise between China, Taiwan and Mexico, I buy with may eyes closed the mexican stuff, second Taiwan and Ill be very sad if I only could get the China stuff because his quality is very, very low.
I have bougth online some stuff in USA, and I have noticed, when they arrive to my door, that they are MADE IN MEXICO. and of course they work fine.
Thanks in name of my country and you are right in all you mentioned of the mexican parts.
i can say that my mopar buddies are having big problems with metal quality of chinese made parts. rocker arms failing and cylinder heads failing. no vote for china, they are horrible
I replaced my Dexter leaf springs and I thought I was getting made in USA. Wrong, they are made in China and I don't feel all that good about this heavy 5th wheel on their junk steel!!!!
Some of the mower parts i order aftermarket have come from china and are junk. Thinner and lower quality work. So I spend 4 dollars more for the same product but much better in the long run
See, I was right, you are stressing out about the trailer!
Your a funny man Phil. I just don't like being on the side of the road broke down. Been there and done that to many times, the side of the road is not a very quiet place to camp! My dog gets stressed out trying to take a leak with all those cars flying by. LOL
...I get stressed out trying to take a leak with all those cars flying by. LOL
I would imagine!
Thanks for all the 'support'!!
I had made the decision to not go with the China parts a while ago, but I'm glad to hear everyone's on the same page as me.
I've never associated stuff made in Mexico to be of poor quality. Never.
If you had to choose to buy parts made in Mexico or China, which would you choose?
Personally, I prefer made in the USA, but that's not an option...
FWIW the parts made in China are supposed to be 1/2 the cost of those in Mexico, and about 1/3 the cost of current know high quality parts made in Italy...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prefer the USA but I would pick Mexico over China for everything except for body parts, the dang body parts are just to cheap to pass them by.
I'm just pulling your chain, I know the ol' ford will get the job done.
How often do you go camping? What breed is your dog?
We are snow birds, we go 'camping' six months of the year and the dog is a Westie (west highland terrier). Yea, the old Ford gets it done. Jim, you are also a funny man, the quote is 'My dog' not 'I' get stressed taking a leak, lol.
