You need to find a dealer that knows what they are doing. You have been blessed here by the free advice of several of the top Ford Dealership Certified 6.0 technicians who help out on this site. Heed their advice and find a good dealer. I wish you well

Regards

I wish the Heck that one of those techs were close to me!!!!!! I would be more than willing to take my truck to either of them.. I want to thank all of them for all the wonderful help they have given me in the last few days. They have led me in the right direction and given me some wonderful advise in asking questions to the dealership to ask them questions so they would check different things that they were not checking until I asked for it to be checked.

What they need to do, before first startup, carry the IDS outside to the truck. Hook it up, go to power balance, THEN start the truck. The misfiring cylinders will stick out like a diamond in a goat's ***.

Use any reasonable late model digital camera.

Set it to video record mode.

Open the engine compartment and photograph it on the side most likely to be making the noise.

I want to be able to see how the engine "rocks" and correlate it with the noise.

Make sure you know where the mic is on the camera and to give it a "clear" path (like don't cover the hole with your finger) to the sound.

Remember --- the key is to get a good audio AND video sound track.

Good luck.

Im gonna side with the dealer did the right thing by just repalcing the one injector. As a tech we have limits as to what we can call bad/failed and injectors are touchy with ford. if we have one injector down say when it 60* outside it doesnt mean we wont have 5 of them down when its 40* so it really depends on weather the truck was tested after a cold soak at the best possible temp. Now if the weather did not drop far enugh to diag it its not a tech issue its a weather issue. been down this road before.

I agree!... Not the dealers fault.. The dealer can't help how cold the weather got or not.

Ford has an internal service work tracking program called OASIS. All dealer techs have access to the service. It will list any service or warranty work performed at a Ford dealer. Your dealer can pull one for you. It takes ten minutes if the computer is up. All the work on your truck should be listed. They are asking you for one so the knowledgeable techs can see what has really been done.

I've not had a chance to try to get the video. Today would have been a good day though.. Cool morning and shook like a jolt wagon. Wished I had more time this morning to get it.
