"Hello" to all... just introducing my Dump Truck..Ford F600 4x4, Rockwell 7.5K Front, 15K Rear..(may be 17.5K) 2 speed Rockwell transfer case, single speed rear end, gas 361, 5 speed manual trans, 4 cubic yard box, huge 12 foot plow, 9.00x20 tires, Warn M206 hubs, 50K original miles, usual dents and dings..but fully operational. Bought it because it was cheaper than a 14K dump trailer and didn't want to destroy the transmission in the Tundra. ..Oh, and I thought it was way cool too. We have off-grid property in the Wenatchee Wa area that always seems to need gravel. If anybody knows weight the weight rating is on the rear axle ..I'd like to know..Door tag says 54J, Rockwell tag says: H 170 ANX 12 ....Thanks!
Cool, I live in a townhouse neighborhood with a driveway just wide enough for a 76 F250 and a 90 Ranger to park side-by-side and short enough I stick onto the sidewalk several inches. when you get a chance, would you mind posting some pics of the dash?
Nice! Looks to be in great shape! I have a 78 f600 2x4 that's great fun to drive. I also have 75ish f600 4x4. I'm hoping to swap the running gear onto the 2x4. Do you have any pictures of the axels? I'm trying to figure out what I have so I can rebuild them.
Just sold a 1970 camper special 2wd that I had for 20 years.. hauled alot of stuff..didn't do so well in the snow. I'm trying to figure out my rear axle also.. check for tags..I will post some pics just the same..
Thanks for the comments, REAR Axle tag pic attached..... a 1973 sales lit brochure info from ford says that 15K Rockwell was standard and a 17.5K was optional trying to figure out which axle this one is ANYBODY KNOW?? Door plate says: 54J
i have seen a lot of these trucks made into oilfield well pulling units and winch trucks.....gotta love em
...most are fire trucks flatbeds and flat beds with hoist.. took me while to find a dumper that wasn't across the country. here's a image of some sales lit i have.. am thinking about putting some winch receiver tube winch mounts on it front and rear and ..maybe above the cab on the dump bed..fer hauling stuff into the bed?? make it easier to get unstuck. have chains for the front..need to get some for the rear. with chains am thinking it should motor through 12-18" snow...without the plow will find out if we ever get any.
