Hi all, my name is Paul and I am new to the forum. I have an issue with my Truck.
I have an 01 F250 SuperDuty 4x4, 5.4 Triton. After a recent engine swap, It starts rough, very slow to rev up, there is a miss at idle. It struggles to get through the gears, takes forever to get up to 55. In 3rd gear i notice a vibration. I was told (lol) that the engine ran fine when it was removed.
Any clues to where I should start troubleshooting?
i would go about a physical inspection of the motor, make sure cop wires connected, all sensors connected, fluids, plugs fuel lines etc. keep in mind the internal combustion engine needs fuel air and spark to operate, any lapse in the system will cause that motor to be low on power or miss.
Ok, I checked all the stuff that you mentioned, everything seemed good to go. I took it to the dealer today to have a diag performed on in. They said that I have #3 cylinder damage and that #6 is misfiring. Funny thing is, the reason I replaced the engine in the first place was because the #3 cylinder disentagrated. Could the computer be telling my engine that it has a problem that no longer exists? If so, how can I clear this?
Also, Admin, can you move this post to the proper forum?
