Depends on what a 5.8's supposed to be getting on a good day! My 302 w/83K gets 178-182 psi through all cylinders. But that's apples & oranges. Anybody know what a 5.8 should be getting? You may not be in as bad a shape as you think you are, your spread isn't too bad!
OK, so
I have the
11 All clear
then key on engine off
72 and 73
Key on running
172
632
632 seems to do with cycling the tranny after the 4 flashes but before I need to throttle after the single flash, but everytime I do this it never asks me to go to WOT or starts the diagnostic flashes.
You need to try again, none of the codes you post can really be used/trusted.
As stated your truck will throw all 3 digit codes, only exception is the "10" separator code.
Thanks for the replies, I think this Im in the clear with compression but still not out of the water with the rest of it. The engine was warm, but had cooled a little while I went about setting up for the test, Def below normal operating so the actual numbers may be a little higher. I have checked and the consensus is that the 5.8l numbers should be 125 to 145 and much lower than the 5.0l which alot of people are around 175
oh and..
It rose to 95 on the first jump, then 120 then the final number
also had a battery charger connected.
