Hey, My nephew has an 83' v6 4x4 ranger. He broke the driveshaft yoke for the rear driveshaft that goes into the trans. None of the jyards around here have one. I found one on JCwhitney but it lists a centering yoke or an h yoke. What's the difference? Are there any other years he can snag this from? JCwhitney is the only place i've found that says they have or can get it.
thanks
short
There's only 1 shop like that around here and they said they can't get it. I'll check Denny's Driveshaft though. What is the difference between an
h yoke and a centering yoke?
thanks
Bill (parts guy), that is amazing- but if you are retired how are you able to come by all the parts info? you got a Ford database at home? would love to be able to get parts info that quickly

You got a Ford database at home? Sorta.
I've been a car/truck collector since 1956, was a Ford partsman for 35 years (1962/97). I may be retired, but...
I have over 600 Ford Passenger Car & Truck Parts Catalogs, O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) and Master Cross Reference and Standard Parts (hardware) Catalogs on microfiche, CD's and bound and loose leaf paper that cover 1928/2002.
Access to the in-house Ford Dealer Parts Locator System, and to the system the obsolete parts vendors use.
I have a crystal ball I sometimes have to use in conjunction with the above, cuz some ppl when asking questions, forget to type one shred of evidence of what the hell they are a workin' on!
