BOOM after start up

BOOM after start up
after I start up my PSD, usually after a sitting of more than an hour or two, it makes a loud thud on the right front side, sometimes when hitting the brakes. I can not tell if it is something with my caliper, or something with my slip joint.
Any input? similar problems?
