Two forward, one back

moving backwards on the project; my custom rad is too high; my hood doesnot close. So now I'll have to take it out and likely purchase another core.

I love this hobby!

LOL....

I hate it when I do stuff like that

We wouldn't have much to talk about if everything worked out just right everytime

Saved !

I prayed to the truck gods for a solution and after closer analysis I found that the rad is NOT the problem.

The hood was hitting on the inner air deflector bracket; I have bit of an alignment problem. the hood has a tendency to skew slightly to the passenger side at times. Likely the driver side hinge assembly needs tweaking.

I doubt I will be able to use the top air deflector, without modification.

Spent the day stripping the door latch asemblies; painting and installing.

Also adjusted the hood spring at front, so it latches...as long as I pull the cowl end of the hood out to clear the cab cowl.

Gonna put the gas tank back in; pulled it to get at the emerg brake cables. Looking at maybe getting door glass in this weekend.

have you tried to turn the deflector panel around, the difference in the mounting holes may give you the clearance for the hood to clear the radiator.

I don't have the air deflector in mine and have no cooling problems.

Glad to hear that its something that can be handled relatively easy. I'm not using the deflector either
