Thank for your sympathy everyone.
I couldn't sleep much because of the throbbing and bleeding through the bandage if I put my hand down. My sheets are a bloody mess.
Modern narcotic analgesics allowed some respite but left me itchy.
Guess I'm not working on my bike or going sailing this weekend.

im going in to work late today. i dont plan on staying late though, because its a nice day and its friday.
