I was out doin hay today. Unfortunately the buddy I was helping didn't check how dry the hay was before he bailed it. It wasn't too damp that it was ruined, he will just use it first. But...we new real quick when we went to lift the first bails! We got through the first 10 acres are so that he had already bailed, and he decided we would wait til tomorrow to bail the other fields.
Yeah, these bails were about 80lbs or so though. They really aren't supposed to weigh that much. I love haying! Used to do it every summer with my pappy in PA.

And to give everyone a comparison normal bales are 45lbs give or take 10 or 15lbs.
I unloaded/stacked hay for 3 summers and that was more than enough for me. Running the tractors isn't bad but throwing bales sucks.
