Thanks for the responses. rat49f6 I live in Spring, TX which is approx. 30 miles north of Houston. If there happens to be anyone who wants to show off some mad skills I would be up to learning the correct way to do this. I am sure there will be some type of adult beverages available after the work is finished!!
Kupaa I can't really send off the pump to terminator since I have to have the truck for work and my wife needs her vehicle for shuttling the kiddos. This is why I am hoping that all is needed is to change out the o-rings, gasket, & plug. By the way, how would one know if they should change out the pump vs only the o-rings, gasket, & plug? Thanks again for everyones input. I GREATTLY appreciate it. You just have to love this site!!!
The plug has to be facing straight up looking at you, to keep the ball from moving.
With the pump in that position, you will take a chance that the ball will roll out of it's pocket behind the pin on the plug and fall into the IPR cavity. The proper position would be to use the drive gear as a workbench stand and then set the pump shaft in the drive gear. That way the shaft is pointing down and the rear of the HPOP with the plate and c-clip is pointing straight up.

Howdy Neighbor, I'm out in Spring myself....
SO what are you wanting to do? Change the pump or just replace some O-rings?

I looking to change out the o-rings, gasket, & plug. Hoping that will fix the problem. I have ordered the o-ring kit from riffraff yesterday so I am on hold until it arrives.
Feel any difference Chris being termy modded and does he do *17 pumps too?? Quick jack..
i haven't used it yet.I let Homesteder try it first since i have hybrids and he has stock injectors. If it works for him then he is going to send hes to Joey and get modded and send that one to me.
I recently tried to fix this using only o-rings and green loc-tite. It held through a long trip hauling the camper and boat trailer, but when I got home I decided to test it, when I really romped on it, it I blew that plug into the hiway, along with a LOT of oil. After I was towed back home for $100 I replaced the pump with a Dielsite adrenaline pump, more expensive but no troubles since. Got a lot of practice changing that pump (4 times) so now I can do it in my sleep.
If nothing else, spend the extea $50 on the plug with the extended threads from Dieselsite or International, it's well worth it. I didn't know about them when I did mine.

Trying to get data on my stock pump first so I can see what kind of numbers it's putting out before installing the mod 17*. I will have to check with clay on how much is an AE.
