Seeing that my 2000 F50 has the original rear shocks (rust and all), it is time to put on new ones.
Truck is just a basic 7.3 SD 4x4 and used for general chores, light towing, etc.
I know Bilstiens are the best, but not looking to drop the bucks on them. Has anyone had the Rancho RS 5000 and what do/did you think of them? Front has new Monroe Gas Magnums that the dealer installed, so I am probably leaving them for a while.
***CAN A MOD PLEASE ADD AN "O" TO RANCH IN THE TITLE?*** Don't know how I didn't pick that up in my proofread.

I just returned a set of Rancho RS5272(front) I bought for my 08 F350. too soft, these are cell filled as I understand it.. I replaced with the Rancho RS999272 XL adjustables, which are fabulous..
$52 vs $86 each (Oriellys wants 136 for the RS999272's, sorry not a chance)
I once had Rancho RS5000s on a truck I used to have. They were a lot better than the stock shocks. I never had a problem with them. I would replace all 4 shocks at once, but that's just me. RS5000s are a good bang for the buck shock. There are better shocks out there and there are a whole lot that are worse,
When I replace my shocks they will probably be KYB Gas Adjusts. I've never had a problem with them.
I think you'd better check the dates on that - April 1, 2009 - May 31 - rebate from must be postmarked before July 1, 2009. It was a definite nice deal but it's long since expired.

bummer... the rear 5046's were bought online, and have no return, so net waste ti buy 2 more XLs ($176) to make 4 to get $100 back, and not be able to return the 5000's..
