OK, before anyone says do a search, I want you guys (gals) to know that I am on my 4th CPS in the life of my truck. I am at the OBX with my family and my 5er when my truck starts the usual miss and tach motion that I would usually associate with the CPS. I called NAPA and got a new one that day (not a ford part). Problem is just as bad if not worse. I connected AE and got no codes, passed cylinder contribution test and injector buzz check.
I am wondering if anyone has had symptoms of a bad CPS and found it to be something else.
Thanks Riffraff,
Unfortunately, I am at the beach. Though I don't mind being stuck here, I have to tow my trailer home on Tuesday so my wife can make it to work. If I end up having to buy a new cps from the stealership, I will be looking for an old style to have as a replacement.
I am getting ready to find some pavement to drain my filter bowl and check my filter. It is not that old but I suspect I may have picked up some dirty fuel on my way down here.
Didn't get a code, and I unfortunately don't have an inverter to drive around with AE yet.
I am really hoping this is just fuel. Will check engine oil as well
Thanks
