Lariat Cab Emblems
I have a big favor to ask of any of our awesome Lariat owners.Could any Lariat owner with intact cab corner emblems please take some measurements for me of where the Lariat emblems go on the cab?A good reference point would be the top body crease next to the door handle.I just need the measurement from the reference point to the bottom of the emblem.I would greatly appreciate it.If you have an early Lariat with the top bodyside protection moldings like my truck that covers that top body crease,then a measurement from the top of the molding would be great.I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks in advance!

1/4" from the edge of the door to where the emblem starts.
Do you have the 1980 - 1984 aluminum tailgate trim panel? If so, those models also had a longer "Lariat" emblem placed on the lower, bottom edge of that panel. You can find these at NPD, LMC, and Dennis Carpenter. I don't have that particular trim piece (mine is an '85 model) so I don't have the exact measurements for correct placement, but I am sure someone else here can help you.

1/4" from the edge of the door to where the emblem starts.
Do you have the 1980 - 1984 aluminum tailgate trim panel? If so, those models also had a longer "Lariat" emblem placed on the lower, bottom edge of that panel. No,I don't currently have the panel,but I plan to get one as soon as I find one in good condition.I knew about the longer emblem,but I haven't been able to find a picture of a panel that still had one on it so i'm not sure where it's exactly placed on the black strip.Maybe someone with an 80-84 still has their emblem and can get me some measurements.I'd greatly Appreciate it.

Lariat trucks got the Lariat Emblem,and XLT trucks got the XLT emblem.Don't quote me,but i've seen some pics of Lariats where the strip under the "FORD" is black,and XLT's that have a gray strip.Could just be faded though.
