My 1985 Ford F150 XLT Lariat has an OVERDRIVE emblem on the back of the tailgate, on the right side and above the aluminum finish panel. My truck has AOD, but I have never seen this before on any F150 besides mine, but I have seen this same emblem on the back of the Bronco IIs. Is this original to the F150? Does anyone else have an "OVERDRIVE" emblem or any other stock emblem on the back of their tailgate?

 

I have it on mine. It is an 83.

Yes, this is a comon emblem.

The first year of it I believe was 1982.

 

it looks like my truck had one at one point as there are holes for it but it must have fallen off at some point.

 

My 1981 F100 with an AOD doesn't have the emblem. It must as have been later than
1981 because my truck is original.

 

I seen one on an 85 Ranger yesterday, first time I saw one...
