A while back 87 XLT asked this question to another user:
"BTW, when it wont start have you tried cycling the key on for 2 seconds then off & repeating 5 times then turn key to start? Any difference?"
I have a 95 Ford Ranger 3.0l and am having trouble starting. I tried this suggestion and it starts every time. Does anybody know what the problem is? Am I losing fuel pressure and this procedure increases it to the level it needs for starting?
yes.............make sure your fuel filter is good...............pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulater and make sure there is no gas in it.....if there is gas in the vacuum line replae the fpr............do a fuel pressure test koeo, koer and makes ure it holds most of the pressure for 5 min after you turn it off........
