ignititon swicth replacement
ok i think its got a short in it, been hard to start the last few days, starts for a split second then stops, also after it does start i can just wiggle the key a bit and it will shut off! so how is the best way to change it? i had it replaced once about 10 years ago, and it cost me over 300 dollars, so im sure it would be more now! do i need to take off the steering wheeL i have a book that talks about drilling the heads out?? huh? and help will be much app!

$300 bucks for this simple little job? OUCH.
The switch is about 20 bucks & a couple of minutes to swap it out.
Remove the upper steering column shroud and the wire connector. Remove the 2 screws.
Be careful to align the pin in the column with the hole in your new switch. Screw it back in place.
I used vice grips on the "tamper proof" screws.
