Thanks! I did it for a few reasons. First off, I really like the Allison version. Second, the auto version was around $200 less than the manual, for some reason. Thirdly, the manual version only allows for six switches. The Allison version can allow up to nine switches, plus my pod allows up to another five, more than I will ever use. lol. Lastly, the reason I wanted to make a custom pod is because I wanted to make them available for those who have all dashes, not just the F-650.
Here are the latest pics of the duckfoot. I have added the vinyl texture and painted it to match. Now I just have to cut the switch holes out.
Any pics of how that thing attaches? I think those alone would be a hot seller. Lots of folks looking for something useful to put in place of that hook. Nice job!

Agreed! The panty-holder is somewhat limited in it's uses.
Is there any clearance behind it? Enough to create an open cubby?

I checked into it, and while there is plenty of room for switches and even gauges, there is not really enough room to put a cubby. If it were to have one, the cubby would only be able to be a couple of inches deep, and the lower dash and upper dash frame would have to undergo some surgery in order for the cubby to go back. Good idea though, unfortunately not enough room.

Thanks Jason! I have not decided 100% how it will attach yet, right now it has a lip (as the OEM does) and two reverse bolts, but this is sort of difficult to get to, so I have thought about instead running metal prong style clips that will fit into the holes found in the dash. I could have just done it like the OEM did and have two exposed bolts, but let's face it, the way that Ford did it just does not look good.
That looks like a better way to mount my CB. Is it sturdy enough to drill two holes in it and mount my CB to the bottom of it? Similar to how I have it now, only on your panel?
I just finished installing a bunch of switches so I'm not sure what else I would do with that panel. A cubby would be cool but I see what you're saying about how useful it would be. You definitely have my interest on this!

Yes sir. The pod will be made of either two composites- Composite plastic, which would be every bit as strong as the OEM dash, or fiberglass, which would be much stronger than that. Should not have any problems mounting radio equipment at all.
Seeing as how the pod itself is larger than those dimensions, mounting one to it would not be a problem at all. Might even have to do an inter-changing faceplate to allow for different options should you decide to change to dual gauges or more switches later on.
I wonder if there is a way to install an sct scan gauge into an f650 lower dash they would be cheaper than a scan gauge...you can get one with an egt probe for less than 200 and it reads codes and such along with 0-60 stuff
I would be intersted in on eof those too. I have upfitters so I dont think I would benefit from the 650 dash, but it would be nice to put my air bag guages and pump switch into, but your would be a nice place to mount my fuel pressure guage and maybe my DD
