You guys have any experience with that "Fix-A-Leak" radiator stuff? Does it work, and does it cause any damage to the cooling system/engine? My 93 Ranger is losing about a pint of coolant a week, somewhere from the radiator. I've got a new F-150 on order, and don't want to spend any money on the Ranger (as much as I love it). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Pat,
What are your plans for your Ranger once your F150 arrives?
If you're planning to sell the Ranger, it will be easier to sell IF the radiator doesn't leak!
I just replaced my '94 radiator with a good/used one I got from the wrecking yard - $50 out the door. No more drips.........
Thanks guys. I've already got 3 potential buyers lined up, and they're aware of the issues with the truck......$1500 As Is. '93 Ranger, 4.0 5-speed manual, RWD, 196K miles. The engine runs like new, but it needs brakes, tires, the fuel guage hasn't worked in 10 years, and the AC quit two years ago. I'll let the new owner fix the coolant leak. I wish I could keep it, but the family doesn't fit. Should be getting my new STX 4X4 Supercab in two weeks.
