Radiator Stop Leak???
Radiator Stop Leak???
I have a 1993 F-150. My Radiator has started to leak. Has anyone have any options on the Radiator Stop Leak products. I've used various products before on other vechicles with some success. I've have a feeling it clogs a reduces radiator cooling and clogs water jackets in the block. Is it better just to replace radiator or is it safe to use the STOP LEAK stuff???
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the site.
I would highly recommend replacing it. Stop leak is really, just a temp fixed until you can repair the leak. It will clog up the readiator and can partially clog the heatercore too.

Radiator Stop Up
I have had these products stop up the radiator which did stop the leak but of course the radiator was no good any more. Unless the radiator was damaged some how by the time it springs a leak You are only seeing the weakest link of the problem. You can try the stop leak but you are already well on your way to a new radiator.
