My 300K thread

I hit 300K miles! Well, actually, it was two weeks ago so I am now at 302K, and really have not had any major failures.

I bought the truck in 2000 with 10K miles on it.

Yes, I have had the normal maintenance items that have needed to be replaced.....
2 water pumps
2 cps's
6 alternators
4 serp belts
6 batteries
every damn o-ring on the engine (I hate Leaks!!!)
4-6637's, and then got smart and bought the AFE Big Boost Filter.

I have gotten rid of the stock fuel bowl, done the intank and prepump mods and have been running a FASS fuel pump and a DFA fuel system for 70K miles. I have been running a Van turbo with an ATS compressor housing for 50K miles.
I still have my stock HPOP, and factory IPR. I did replace the non serviceable plug this weekend due to a leak, and went ahead and re- ringed the IPR since I had it out.

I still have my factory tranny, completley stock, except for the line pressures that Jody adjusted during live tuning.

I have been through 4 sets of front rotors, 3 sets of shocks, have had to replace 1 drivers side unit bearing, and just found out that my drivers lower ball joint is starting to show wear and will need to be replaced in the next few weeks.

I have found that the oil cooler rebuild is NO DAMN FUN when its 30*, unless you remove the fender liner, DOH!

Oh yeah, I have had some sort of power adder on this truck since 2001. In 2001 I had a Bullydog power puck (basically a 10K mod), then I upgraded to the Bullydog Power Pup downloader in 2005, but none can compare to the one and only DP-Tuner, especially after live tuning.

Here is the mandatory pic.

No, the trip meter hardly ever gets reset.

Congrats! My truck isn't too far but I haven't put the bulk of the miles on here. I have however, placed the bulk of stress and water crossing on her.

If I keep driving like I do, I'll reach 300k in about 2 more years. I can only manage 20-27k per year. But being that my truck isn't the "daily" driver, the miles get split up unfairly with the mustang.
I miss driving my truck. And on 120r tune, I think it's faster then the stock 96 gt auto mustang I'm driving currently.

It can be done. I went 200 miles with it still above full on my 22.1 MPH run between Austin & Dallas... But you have to start with the tank filled to the neck.

Good job, Brandon. I'm like Pop, at my rate I'll see 300K when I'm 75 or so. (I'm forty right now!)

Congrats! I'll join the club in 21k. I will still be rolling with the stock shocks and stock tranny minus the BTS VB.

Nice going Brandon. You have plenty more miles to put on your truck the way it looks and the way you keep it up.
