ICP Sensor Location on Excursion

Gentlemen:

I am new to this forum and have gathered much useful knowledge from this forum. You guys rock!!!

Now my problem, recieving a P1209 and P1211 code and I know it is ICP Sensor related. Not sure if it is my oil as it was changed 3500 miles ago. It could also be that my brother put 40W oil as we changed the oil instead of 15W-40. Was going to change my oil and replace with 15W-40.

Question: I think my ICP is leaking but not sure what I am looking for and where is it located? I think it is on the drivers side, but not sure what I am looking for. Please confirm location.

Thanks

ICP sensor in on drivers side valve cover, right at the front. If there is oil in the electrical connection its time for a new ICP sensor.

Just like Glen said.

And be sure to change that oil ASAP. If you don't run the proper rated oil with the proper additive package, it can easily cause ICP codes, rough running, a slight miss, etc. Our fuel injectors run off of engine oil, and our HPOP is hard on oil and will cause foaming of the oil if it doesn't have the right additive package.

I found it last night, Thanks for the Pic Chris.

I got the oil changed to 15W-40 last night, the ICP didnt look like it was leaking. going to investigate it more on the weekend. The X is idling better since the oil change, but still sluggish accelerating.

My X has 290,00 miles on it so I may change it for insurance.

Thanks for all the replies.

My truck has had a slight miss and was throwing code P1280 ICP out of range=low. I found that my ICP was bent and the plastic connection was pulling away from the metal housing. When I disconnected the plug there was oil inside. I am ordering a new ICP today.

I was told to help trouble shoot a bad ICP sensor you can unplug it and if the miss/idle issue goes away its a sign the sensor is bad.
