Did you hook up the GP LED to the hot side of the GP's? Big lug on the GPR. Or did you hook up the LED to the Small wires.. I went through three Napa 109's before i got frustrated and went to the stancor.
The led goes to the big lug that has a big brown wire,a big yellow wire, and a smaller wire on it. If I plug it in it will start right up no smoke. How do you check compression on a diesel? Through the gp hole?
Compression Gauge in the GP hole.. And a quick check way, is to run it and take off the oil fill cap and set it on the neck upside down.. If it stays your are golden. If it PUFFS off you are in trouble..
Plugged in it starts up with no smoke? I'm Still leaning on a GP/GPR issue..
I crossed the two large terminals on the gpr and it started pretty easy this morning! If it is bad why does my led on the dash come on? Just in case I can't find it what is the stancor #?
Did the quick check on the compression and the cap vibrated off it didn't blow off, I couldn't feel any pressure with my hand over it either.

I would put a voltmeter on the terminal that feeds the GP's to verify how many volts are being administered to the GP's. Chances are, it's enough to light your LED but not enough to fully heat up your GP's.
Ok should there be 12 volts to the gp side and thanks for the number.
Side note-reading some people use the Stancor Heavy Duty 586-903 instead of the 902 because it is rated for 15 volts instead of 12 and it is only a few dollars more? Over kill just go with the 902?
Voltage at battery with key off was 12.73 and same with input side of gpr,no volts on output side of gpr Turn key on volts drop to 11.68 on input side and then the out put side started at around 10.5 and steadily climbed to 11.34 volts and stopped there.I am going to order the stancor and the post the results.
Money well spent on the stancor.. It should be the last time you mess with the GPR once the stancor is in.. When you get it i the mail you will say "holy shemoe" That thing is huge.. And it bolts right in.. 10 minute install.
WOW, got it Monday,is it big. Put it on and it started up without smoking!! Now I think the starter is going out, turns over slower than it use to before it fires oh well that will be another thread!!LOL Thanks for the support people
