Check some of the chain stores also. Some of them sell Motorcraft and you may get lucky and find them on sale or a coupon to help with cost. There are some good thread on the this site and on youtube to help with the process.
I keep reading all this hatred toward Autolite glow plugs. Unfortunately however, not until after i installed a full set of 8. What exactly makes the Autolites so bad?
The Autolites have been known to fail quickly and when they do, the tips swell up so that removal is nearly impossible without breaking it off in the head. It's been well documented if you want to do a search on YouTube or here on FTE.
The general advice is going to be remove the Autolites ASAP and hope they haven't swelled already.

X2
Get all of them out that you can, if a few have already swelled just leave them in there and replace the rest. I have blown swelled plugs out by starting the engine with the GP loose, scary as heck and sounds like a rifle shot but they where stopped by a packing blanket folded half and stapled to a 3/4 inch piece of plywood laid over that side of the engine.
A co-worker of mine just pulled 8 autolites out of his 97, they were all burnt out, but luckily none of them swelled. I really think he dodged a bullet there.

Yes... this is an imperative.

There is one GOOD thing about Autolites- as you pull it apart, you will get to know your engine in a way you never thought possible. I've been down this road with 2 different trucks.
